Iowa State University Students Excited about the Bible

Esther, our associate speaker, leads a Christian student club at Iowa State University while pursuing her PhD. Recently, she introduced the group to The Periodic Table of the Bible, hoping to spark their interest in exploring Scripture more deeply. Initially, she faced challenges getting the students to engage. Group reading attempts fell flat, and participation was minimal. Determined to find a way to ignite their passion, Esther tried something bold: she assigned each student a chapter to read and teach to the group.

To her surprise, this approach transformed their discussions. The students became so engaged that their meeting extended far beyond the scheduled time. Even when their original meeting space closed, they moved to another building, continuing their discussions for over three hours. What began as a struggle to read Scripture turned into an inspiring display of shared enthusiasm and discovery.

Now, the group is eager to dive into the Old Testament with renewed excitement, eager to uncover its treasures together. Please join us in praying for Esther as she leads these students and for the group at ISU to continue growing in their love for God’s Word and their understanding of His plan.

You won’t regret it. I promise
